Sorry but Umeki doesn't get any sympathy from me after the stunt she pulled. Simply because she couldn't stand Aoba dumping her ass and moving on, she tried to ruin his relationship and career. You can say however much that you "thought it would help" but you know yo ass was just mad that he moved onto another girl and cant stand that he will never love you back after you decided to walk out on him first when he revealed his secret to you..
Plus, if his team lost the game, why would yall want him on your team??? How does beating him and forcing him to play for you team, a way of helping him?
