For what it’s worth (which is not very much) it is important to point out that she has already remarried. That means she already belongs to a different family. In strict-traditional Asian culture, once a daughter marries out of the family, then she’s no longer part of her family. She now belongs to the family she married into. The same logic would apply to a daughter-in-law who has remarried.
