Idk what the person you're replying to meant, but IMO, FL approched and chased after the ML for a fucked-up reason, so that's different. And it's not about dignity, it's just literally a shitty thing to do, to use others for your petty, juvenile revenge. FL is lucky that ML already had a crush on her befoe

If FL chased after the ML for the right reasons, because she sincerely likes him, her dignity will remain intact.

characters can be complex. if people were perfect falling for each other for perfect reasons and perfectly get together, then stories wouldn't be interesting. her reason added a bit of drama and make the plot interesting by adding the conflict in the background and also getting a reason to explore other characters like his niece.

I agree the characters are rather one dimensional but what moral judgement are you giving to characters in a story that are meant to entertain audiences?

Imo, there were no characters explored in this story, they're like just being introduced and some shallow, one-dimensional characteristics.

I totally agree with everything you said, but can we also agree that the FL's reason for approaching the ML is shitty? You don't need to be as extreme as a moral police to be able to see that? If it is the spice the author use to add drama to the story, it's all good, but it doesn't make it not shitty. It's not that deep, really.
