The only good thing about that pile of shit is that Dilraba Dilmurat plays chang ge. Had to drop it in 5 eps cuz it gave me high blood pressure and almost got me hospitalised.
That's surprising because I kept seeing praise whenever I ran into reviews and discussions about the drama. But again, the drama was created when Xia Da couldn't have any say on her creation so it's funny to me how fans of the series were supposedly all fine with it. As for Dilraba, I though it was odd that she was casted because I thought Chang Ge was supposed to look more Han chinese than Uygher.
If you gonna watch it because you liked chang ge xing manhua, dont. They deviated from a lot of important stuffs especially surrounding chang ge's characters. They removed the plot about her mother being uyghur, put mimi guli in a love triangle with she'er and mujin, which is a DISRESPECT to my poor mimi. They switched up chang ge and Ashina sun's personality, making chang ge dumber and more naive than she is in manhua. AND THEY PUT A FUCKING OC THAT RUINED NOT JUST THE PLOT BUT A CHUNK OF CHANG'GE'S CHARACTER. Li shimin was fucking cheesy too, they made him a girl dad for change and zhao lusi's oc of a character(i love zhao lusi, this is not a shade towards her). I also think Raba is lowkey given like you said she's supposed to look han AND CUZ THEY FUCKASS REMOVED HER UYGHUR MOTHER PLOT ALREADY, still love raba tho.
i heard the cdrama adaptation was "good", but i didn't watch it because xia da didn't have the rights to her creation....but hearing she won finally, looking forward to the story's continuation one day~
