Probably the best way to read this is M.O.D.S and then Nights Before Night, though it works both ways. I really like characters that haunts the narrative, a.k.a. Shigure. Since it adds salt to the wound for an angst and a very compelling character development in the end. I find it fascinating to feel the complexity of emotion of the interval between remembering the person you used to love and remembering that person from the thing that is closest to its resemblance. It just hits a nerve in the heart, and I like the way it hurts. Similar placements for Given's Yuki and Mafuyu, to Mafuyu and Uenoyama.
Point is, the story pushed through without having to fret about Haru remembering Shigure in a painful manner ever again, because he found a better love for himself. Yukitaka's the embodiment of Haru's new beginning. I love it so much.
