Eh I'd say her other works are weak too. They're only considered "engaging" bc it keeps the readers frustrated, feeding them a dopamine rush like most yaois. But I totally understand where you're coming from, making stories about coming of age are pretty risky considering the popular "tropes" are limited. Even in this manhwa, we can see the " I've loved you since I was a baby" trope. I bet there's gonna a trauma dump for ML too. And js like this, every school life manhwa becomes the same. Maybe that's why manhwas like LITC, seasons of blossom, and our secret alliance are so popular. They offer quite a different and interesting plot. They day authors are free from the tropes are the day we will see quality content.
Even if controversial I feel like fargo does way better plot wise when she actually has something to talk about like her pervious works. It feels like she tried too hard to keep this one light, fluffy and pg that the story ends up very bland and going nowhere. Like these kind of stories are not her strong suit some authors excel at the slice of life, innocent, coming of age story genre but she does not in my opinion
