You can’t really compare both couples, can you? I mean, MoTian started as strangers who came to develop feelings for each other, while JianXi were best friends who are already so used to each other’s presence. cmiiw but Jianyi did confess that he loves Xixi in a romantic way, didn’t he? And Xixi hasn’t outright reciprocated but he shows it subtly through his actions and the way he cares for Jianyi. No straight men would see their relationship as platonic, at least my friend doesn’t. To me, they’re the kind of couple that doesn’t show they’re into each other in the way typical couples do. Their affection is subtle because they’ve been part of each other’s lives for so long. Nevertheless, I get why some might feel like they don’t give off couple vibes. That’s why the author needs to focus more on their storyline, now that MoTian relationship has been explored and established.
Honestly to me Jian and Xixi has always been an old married couple. I love their dynamic so much. Tho I feel like ik the reason they don't have much going on.
Mo and He Tian clash and have a tension bc of the push and pull, their relationship tho there's attraction is unstable. Jian and Xixi are just soulmates— their relationship already feels set in stone. That no matter what happens they'll be together, they show it time and time especially the arc when Jian was kidnapped.
I love that about them and I wish I can see more about their lovey-dovey stuff. Tho honestly the only reason they're not "together" or a "couple" yet is because WE as readers have yet to hear it from Xixi's mouth that he loves Jian. AND THAT'S BULLSHIT bc ain't no fucking way they haven't done it. In all the years of being together, going on dates, being all over each other. Like let's be fr Xixi has a baby picture of Jian in his office desk WHO FUCKING DOES THAT TO "just a friend".
But I get more why Mo and He Tian basically has a route in their storyline.
Well, I guess I'd need to adjust to their older selves. They're indeed closer than before and live as if they're old married couple. I was just saying that friends also behave like an old married couple when they've always been with each other. They've also always been kinda ambiguous. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
But let me clarify that they complete each other, so their relationship is satisfying.

Why are some people so angry when Jianyi and Xixi are called the main couples? The story literally started out with them. Though the author started to focus more on He Tian and Mo after Mo showed up, you all were introduced first to Jianyi and Xixi. Don’t you have any attachment to them? Personally, Jianyi and Xixi just hits different for me, and I want to see more of them, even if they’re “uninteresting and unpopular.”
