To be honest it is something that if you do not experience first hand, you won't understand fully. Some people are amazing as friends but not as good as lovers because of certain "needs".

i really don't get the "i'll choose friendship over breaking up" when friends think about dating eventually...
friendship break-ups are a thing too even with choosing to protect the friendship.
