Like I understand that they are busy but at least tell them cuz who would want to miss their bf/gf first birthday being together! The whole hiding family and house thing is sooo different from your birthday that one day of the year. You can literally talk about the family/house thing any other days! Not only that but decorating, buying a cake, and a gift in a few hours for only no thanks or an apology for not telling you; let alone an appreciation.
