I hate how always Japanese comics end with the main characters losing all their powers and just becoming ordinary, but this is still my favorite manga of all time and is my childhood. I was 11 when I watched the anime and now I am finally rereading this after sometime

Right! Exactly as Akatsuki no Yona. I mean I do get why it was necessary for them to lose their powers but I'll still miss this special powers

I feel like this comes from the push in asian cultures (not only japanese—they are just the ones that often push this narrative) to be normal or ordinary and it is very frustrating. There is something special about being special yet have ordinary factors with you like family and a want to have relationships with others

Like it was frustrating how hero academia ended too. So many stories could be so amazing if they found a way to do these things without stripping away their gifts. Not everything has to return to the status quo or normality to reach a good conclusion.

I thought I'm the only one who thinks so, huhu. Maybe bcuz I'm not in their situation but why let go powers and immorality when u can be still together. Like Ryu-oh and his wife, and the other entities. And also like Bella and Edward hehe
