Hmm..but in my point of view if Jitae's father really did love his mom then instead of standing side by side of his legal wife why did he choose to be with his so called one-night stand? He would had fight for staying with her and had be a great father to Jitae..but instead he choose other one..Well I would like to know about the reason why he did this and I really wish about that author mention a chapter in Jitae's father point of view so we can clear any of our misunderstanding(if it is really a misunderstanding) about him.
The father seemed weaker compared to jitae, his son. In chapter 75, I believe, you get a pretty good glimpse of how Jitae’s dad really was. He told a young jian to pitty his mom and to take care of her until she stops whatever she’s doing. In chapter 60, you see him fighting with Jitae’s grandfather and storming out but not without giving jitae a pitying look. Jitae’s father was a weak man that lost his wife because he couldn’t and wouldn’t protect her, even from his own father. It was Jitae’s grandfather that chose to bring Suryeon and Jian into the home! He does love her but he made poor choices when he prioritized not wanting to hurt anyone else, like Jian for example. It’s not really excusable but he did love her, which we see in the previous chapter when Suryeon was thinking back on how jitae’s dad was also desperately trying to care for jitae’s mom. That was also the moment Suryeon became obsessed with wanting Jitae’s dad! She was already sleeping around with jian’s dad so was already pregnant and then hatched the idea to set everything up to look like they had a one night stand and that it got her pregnant. Because she was also remembering how he only ever gave her cold eyes whenever he stopped by that restaurant so it’s pretty telling that he wasn’t even interested in her period! He looked like he was suspicious of her instead because he even side eyed her. Okay, so this might make people upset, so please forgive me for this but! Jitae’s mom also mentioned that they both were too weak to protect jitae! She acknowledged that she did make a choice to leave at the cost of losing jitae! That she did regret it and had wished for someone, like mi-eum to stand by jitae’s side and make him happy for her and his dad! Unfortunately, in the end both parents failed jitae and abandoned him at the mercy of Suryeon! She raised and abused both children! That’s why jitae was emotionless and lacked understanding of anything emotional. It didn’t help that the lady secretary was also poisoning his mind whenever she went to see him for his mom! The adults were really messed up! Especially, in the case of Jian! That poor guy was abused, hooked on drugs, lied to and used! His own mother even speaks horribly about him and gave jin permission to turn him into a puppet!

Wow! So not only did she frame her pregnancy on Jitae’s dad, who never even touched her ever, but started out as an employee alongside jian’s actual father! She just happened to look at Jitae’s parent’s relationship and thought that she wanted it so she destroyed it with her stunt! That woman is a psycho! And it looks like Jitae’s father really did love his mom!
