Author refused to openly show where his obsession started but we get to see its not just from small meeting. He knew Haesoo since he's in highschool. He saw her crying over Mincheol by the bus. She helped him with his wounds too. Someone said Haesoo reminded him of his mother. Pitiful woman mistreated by her husband kind. But I think there's definitely more to it.
unless i wasn’t paying attention, did we ever get to know how and why this man became so obsessed with her? is it literally just cus he took an interest in her the first time he saw her? cus “realistically speaking”, i’m not sure that drive him to have this elaborate plan on taking revenge on her husband and risking a lot just to be w her- like i still kinda feel like we didn’t get much backstory on him idk
