I’m not trying to come off too harshly but I think this is a sign you should start reading classic literature. These characters aren’t emotionless and to call them so is a form of telling illiteracy. The lacking of ability to dive deeper into understanding of a story and or its characters without it being written – whereas in this case drawn – in plain sight

agreeeeddd like ig everyone's entitled to their own opinion but i'm so confused regarding this take since I find it to be the exact opposite. there is so much character depth beyond the characters' "lack of facial expressions" (which is...very clearly intentional by the author btw and serves a purpose in the story). not everything a character is feeling needs to be shown and spoonfed to the audience through expressions even in a visual medium like this one. that's just not how storytelling works. so much nuance lies in the gestures, actions etc. of the characters

wow.. please get off your intellectual high horse. I do read classical literature but regardless of whether I did or not calling me illiterate for having a different perspective than you is incredibly immature and rude.

Yeah.. I enjoyed it but there's just something missing. The art is impeccable and the pacing of the story is perfect, as well as the development of side characters, but I don't understand/can't relate to the main couple at all, which is the most important thing. Their characters are too inconsistent. bro send me a message if u wanna yap more ab this

emotionless... is that not essentially the whole point? considering the main character was literally spiked with a drug that took his inability to smile or laugh?

I am not disagreeing with your “opinion” just with your wit. An opinion would be that you simply dislike the storytelling. You however wrote that the characters were emotionless as if it were a fact when – like one of the other replies stated – it is the complete opposite. My suggestion for you to pick up classic literature is simply because unlike modern day stories, they do not write everything out in detail but instead hint at it with telling signs using words hence makes our brains turn for us to understand the story and its characters. I did not reccomend reading classic literature to you to make you seem any less compared to those who do

exactly! thank you for this. readers nowadays tend to need to be spoonfed every little thing – which I don’t have a problem with of course – it is easy to read and requires little energy to fully grasp however it’s really refreshing when stories like this one gets published

How are you hoping to relate to this when it involves drugs that has broken down a person and their ability to feel emotions?? Ofcourse you can't relate. Thus stuff is deep and from what i understood from the last few chapters, ml is acting as a kind of a therapist to cure mc. This is anything but emotionless but oh well. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

The whole plot is driven by the character who's emotions were chemically castrated like are you serious? Tell me you have no literary comprehension without telling me
