Honestly rather than the prince i think the author just dont know how to write. Having established as strong clear character for the ml only to butcher him like this to “create tension” is very cheaply written.

Pls tell me this get better cuz I'm at chapter 40 and this is so upsetting. The Prince is an actual grade A asshole. Like in the beginning he was great and now he's awful. You know that the ML was shackled as a child and you shackle him too cuz he ran away from you?????? Brother pls. The Prince is acting like a child, he's not even taking caring of his kingdom and actively does things that his closest aids advise him not to.
He doesn't treat the ML as a person and more of an object. It's extremely unattractive.
