Did you read the same 116 chapters I did? Because the romance hints were there since long ago. I don't see why this is a surprise at all. If you're someone that's allergic to romance, stick to reading things that are finished and that you know for a fact don't have romance.
I am fully convincing myself that this wont have any romance on it... But this chapter just slap me and called me delusional... People might get mad at this but seriously... The romance is.. uncesserary in this type of Manwha. And this chapter just proved that it will go in that route... I don't wanna drop this since it's one of my comfort manhwa.. but the romance clique that will add in the future make my interest for this drops to zero... Peace out. (￣ε(#￣)Σ
