you sooo read my mind!!! the crown prince dying felt like the red wedding because it was a cruel wake-up call that YES, PEOPLE DIE IN THIS STORY. but at the same time not. like, his death was MEANT to be red wedding level devastating and become the kickoff for the story to slowly shift into a darker territory with enough pacing, but that's not how it ended up. tbh,, im kinda disappointed.
