I love it!! I love it so much that I immediately went to read the light novel (I'm not done yet). Just one thing: MY GOD, THE AUTHOR SURE KNOWS HOW TO WRITE ANNOYING CHARACTERS those two beastmen gave me anger issues to the point that I couldn't even properly empathize with their backstory
Edit: NEVERMIND I'm dropping the novel what the fuck?? (DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED) In the second part of volume 2 (literally right after the end of the latest manga chapter) the genre randomly seems to have changed: Setsuna found a dragon girl in a cave and fell madly in love at first sight, to the point that he emotionally blackmailed her into marrying him (with a dragon marriage contract that CAN'T be broken) deliberately taking advantage of her loneliness and the fact that she couldn't get out of the cave without his help. AND, she seems to be the past love interest of Kyle, the hero who saved him!!!! (Correct me if I'm wrong, I dropped the novel after this event and they didn't confirm it yet but at least Kyle might have had feelings for her) This was supposed to be a wholesome slice of life with the mc traveling around with his adorable apprentice and meeting new characters, that's all, why the sudden very forced romance with an UNWILLING girl (she eventually agreed but he coerced her into it), who he literally said looks 15-16 years old (reminder, novel says he's actually 25!!!), who he was attracted to purely because of her appearance because wtf man you just met her, and for whom his savior might have had feelings for (not confirmed, but he doesn't know for sure yet if he did)?? And Alto, who was supposed to be the focus as the adopted child/apprentice seems to have shifted to second place in his heart. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED, I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AT THE MANGA Phew, sorry for the rant, I just hate how I loved the main character but I can't help but dislike him after this bullshit
