Thoughts and theories as of ch 60

It’s good, but still a bit lacking. I’m not complaining about the translation, but of the side characters. I know that it’s supposed to be centered around MC, but there’s something about the pacing that doesn’t flow right to me. Spoilers if you haven’t read this yet.

First off, Seo-Han. MC made a big deal about making a connection with him, but they don’t really seem to be that close. I know that they’re colleagues, but maybe my expectations were too high when MC said he was aiming for a nephew/uncle relationship. Or maybe the artist cut out those visual interactions and went “they’re really close bts”. Expectations vs reality haha

All Seo-Han’s done so far is send a coffee truck. Maybe there’s more impact than I understood, but I was like “is that all the buildup was for?”

Maybe there’s more to come in the future, but it just felt really underwhelming to me. That either people didn’t know they were in the same agency or didn’t expect them to be this close. Which was what was MC was going for, but apparently it’s not flashy enough for me haha

When MC looks forward to meeting with a famous actor/actress and has a negative interaction with them, it’s kinda giving “Never meet your idols” but also sugarcoats it as “because they might be going through something”.

I’m not too familiar with the industry, so I do admire her professionalism of trying to work with her annoying ex. However, that was really petty of her to decide to bully MC just for missing the first reading. Her ex can have reasons to change the set schedule, but it’s MC’s fault that it clashed with his original schedule??

MC does act in interesting productions, but the Monster left me with some questions about the ending. It looks like it was supposed to be the dad sacrificing himself to protect his kids, but the role went to MC’s character. After the youngest is locked away, I’m assuming that their dad comes back to save her and regrets being unable to protect his son.

And then my headcannon is that the father and daughter pair comes back in a sequel (Train to Busan, anyone? Lol)

After MC’s regression (wow, truck-kun wanted to give him a second chance instead of isekai’ed haha) he also gains the ability to take perfect selfies. Which eventually evolves into helping him visualize CGI. I’m not sure if he really needed this ability, especially after one of the directors told him to trust their process of filming.

I wonder when he’ll meet up with his previous life’s bandmates? Even though he found Hyun-Do, he is still lacking in the friend department. I’m surprised that his classmates aren’t that interested in hanging out with him. He doesn’t seem that popular with the boys, or maybe they’re over him and don’t care about celebrities. The other boys who attended his recent party reminded me of Emile and Ewen from Spy x Family

Last but not least, his bromance with Hyun-Do/Gino. I’m so happy that they met earlier in this life and became besties, but I need moreee. Are you sure they didn’t forget the ai after shounen? Haha

If there’s no updates by the end of this year, then I’m gonna try and find a novel, and if they don’t end up together then I’m tempted to write an ending where they do lol

But after seeing MC’s little sister going after the ring, I have a sinking feeling that she might chase after her brother’s best friend :/

I know she didn’t exist in his first life, but I am curious then who’s the girl pinching his cheeks in ch 1. A relative I’m guessing?
