For a lot of same sex couples in SK, they often opted for adoption process because same sex marriage in SK is not legally recognized. So couples would undergo through these legal loopholes (i.e adoptive brother, adoptive guardian) in order to secure legal rights including hospitalization, inheritance, insurance, legal documentation, joint accounts and housing — basically all the legal stuff that is included in marriage rights/parental rights.
Hope this clears the jumpscare and confusion
PS: I luuuuveeeeee Kwon Sol as name cuz if they ever go to US it can just be Sunny Kwon
yes! im pleasantly surprised the author decided to go a realistic route with this!! queer couples in china also apply for guardianships of each other for legal protections, so it happens in other countries as well.
This was also common in the US prior to gay marriage being legalized! Contraberry
YEESSS THIS ONE TOO! Cuz I remember this was taught in one of our classes abt legal loopholes in US and in Asia during those times where the only option LGBTQIA+ is to participate in "lavender marriage"
