I believe the "story" would have been the worst outcome had richard's plans actually worked. But beyond that point, they never really touched much on the "story" or MCs past life in the modern world.
Richard wanted Diana because Diana had inherited the blessing of the goddess from Ancia after her passing. And in the "book" version, Richard got what he wanted.
Did they ever give an explanation about the original "story" that mc had in her head??? Diana with Richard????
