I feel so old

It just occured to me that some readers don't understand the concept of adopting your gay partner just to be in the same family registry. I feel like I'm so old because that has been a thing in old yaoi mangas. I'm not sure what the current laws are regarding same-sex marriage in korea, except that it's still illegal, but adoption is one of the realistic routes they could go through.

Also, they gotta think about the costs, in this economy? Do you really want to get married in another country just for your marriage not be legally binding in your home country? There's lots of things gay couples need to consider in countries where same-sex marriage is not yet legalized. Like family benefits from the government and medical incentives. It's a whole process and not a one-and-done thing. The ending seems like a very realistic portrayal of what gay couples go through in countries like korea and Japan just to get the same benefits as married straight couples. Not everything is sunny (hehe) like in other bl manhwas/mangas where the gay couple got legally married in the end even though they are in korea or japan. This is another reason why I love this manhwa, they are sunny in their own ways and I love that.
