Idk what I feel about it - it’s played to be lighthearted with he heavy subject which is fine ig, but like oh my god. Prostitution, growing up under that light, parental trauma, debt, addiction, just some of the few things in the story to name em. Spoilerish below:
Despite that you never see em getting down with the clients or between each other, you just get the insinuation of it.
I’m gonna be jumbled below here but these are some thoughts I had about the story.
-tbh I never felt like Kei (MC) has any romantic feelings for shiro (ML) despite it being pointed out by one of the other guys in the circus. He never quite gave that vibe even if he used key as like material ig to get hard.
-Kei and shiro never get together like that in the story either and I think it was p symbolic considering that he used sex to try and keep people around him, but Kei stayed despite that.
-I feel so bad for the leader and the mother considering how much they tried to guide the ML towards the “right” path. With how trauma bonded he was to the living situation, I feel like some HEAVY therapy would’ve def done more for him. Still, they did so much and they clearly cared so much for him and it’s so depressing he still tossed himself into so much danger.
-this is full spoilers : ok yes I agree that the ML needed a reality check at some point, but WAS THE STABBING HIM REALLY NECESSARY? the fact it like completely impacted his whole life was depressing but it was still so sweet kei still came back. He’s so good, makes me sad that he got taken avantage of which takes me TO MY LAST POINT
- kei, sweet man, I get that you are super kind hearted and stuff BUT FUCKKKKING CHRIST THAT WOMAN NEEDED SOME SORT OF KARMA FOR WHAT SHE DID TO HIM? There’s a bit of nuisance here where yes these men are participating in these activities which is bad - but her taking advantage of a decent man in between this becuz she knew he was a sucker is exactly what’s the issue. SHE DESERVES SOME SORT OF DIVINE RETRIBUTION, DONT LET THAT BITCH GO FREE??
