It's a light read

I like this as a light read, but at the same time it kinda pmo. First of all, the storytelling is pretty flat like someone else commented earlier. There’s this weird disconnect in the delivery of the story. It feels like something is missing. Anyway for the first 30 chaps or so, they’re all portrayed as so self-interested and strategic that all their connections seem fleeting. They're all involved with one another just because they happen to work together. Almost everything is transactional. I struggled to see how they would form a genuine attachment to each other and build a relationship, but there is some progress in recent chapters (~30 and beyond). The development could be interesting or a total disaster. My biggest concern is that the writer will rush the relationship towards the end just for the sake of having maximum drama and angst.

Also chap 38-39: WHAT IN THE FUCK.
