What a gem. No words. Everything i wanted in a sci fi, it is here. It starts as a very cruel story: "it happens" "it SOMEHOW happened" Poor, poor Marko. But crying wont solve anything, and so he has to continue his days somewhere far from his world. The detailed worldbuilding is a masterpiece. And the extras that add info may be a bit tedious sometimes, but they just make the experience 100 times better. There were times i wanted to stop reading because of how fucking sad it got. Ten years. Ten years apart from Earth, from his lover. What if when he came back everything and everyone is...gone. we see the perspective of those who experienced the same, with different results. And the fact that space is just like nature, unpredictable. Different values, cultures, races. How can someone from a closed planet adapt to that? But he had to. If anything , the only issue i had was his unresolved conflict with his brother. They give you a lot of info about him and yet, nothing in the present. On the other hand, the most BEAUTIFUL detail in this story is the last letter about the map world, the princess and the dragon...I was totally gonna ignore it, thought it was just rambling. Nope. It is the thoughts from Marko's lover!! From how they met, and how they got to this point. I wondered why was he drawn at the last chapter with those marks, the letter pretty much sums it up. And his perspective about all that happened, is amazing. I loved this series.
