Idk if it them bad mouthing everything or thinking every story should just be fluffy lovely dove. I feel like old reader come cross more toxic stories like ok let's see where this is going unfazed. And younger readers are like this is dog shit, why would you read this, and so on. But they keep coming back for new chapters like if you hate so much why keep reading.

yes, and i would say older readers would be mature enough to just click out of the story if they dont fancy it so you wouldn't really 'see' them in the comments. personally, i rarely go to the comment section and say it's ass and harass other ppl for liking it. or go crazy if i like a story and other people didnt. i definitely did defend some of my fav stories and characters like its my daytime job in thr past when i was a lot younger so i assume its the same for other people
I'm all for the chaos in stories having only fluffy lovely dove in a story is just boring to me. I'm ok with they go in circles unable to confess their love fluff once in awhile but not everything, every story
