Normally you can use a curtain to hide certain parts of such a huge glass iglu. That way you can still see the stars. But of there wasn't light inside, and directly around them (which is indicated by the fact they were able to see the stars so clearly), someone had to be looking directly inside
They did pull a curtain around... I missed it at first.
