The mc She has no real depth, you’d think she’d be traumatized from humans after being locked up and abused by her “first owner” but the second she sees a conventionally attractive human male she’s like “yeah that’s the man who’s gonna give me babies” like yes it’s her mermaid culture but is that all you’re worth Ma’am a baby making machine? She’s practically an infant, she can barely talk, can barely walk, she has no control over her life. And her mentality? Like a child, her only thoughts are >I like Ian and >I want a baby. She’s dehumanized, infantilized and painted naive to the core that it’s really hard to sympathize with her cus SHE IS WILLINGLY DOING THIS.
