Although I don't agree with thinking someone's trauma is worse than another's... Thanks for saying it even though SO MANY are gonna downvote this. A lot of people belittle JJK's trauma in favor of KD even though they've both suffered a lot in their own ways. JJK learned to defend himself in an aggressive manner to protect himself... which earns him a lot of enemies both in the story and here in real life. While KD kept his head down and quietly tried to get by without ruffling anyone's feathers.
I read this story 100% because I find JJK intriguing. Nothing else.

Yes, JJK was always a green flag. Dan has issues with no problems, just bills that JJK paid off. Then people hate on JJK for treating Dan like a hoe….duh, he thought Dan was a paid sex worker. I love JJK. Sad chapter today though made me cry

this is the worst take i have ever read - none of the characters act like they got it worst, why are u trying to advocate gor who has it worse, even dan himself said he could not have done what jae did. as someone who can sadly relate to both characters a lot when it comes to the specific trauma, let me tell u: both suck, no matter if one is "worse", both are absolutely detrimental to the psyche and really badly effect you (jae's horrific childhood trauma making it extremely hatd to open up und let him experience emotions fully and constantly having his guard up while simultaneously thinking he is never enough. dan also having issues from childhood due to growing up in poor conditions with both parents dead, but luckily having one loving caretaker, who is now dying making him feel completely alone - lets not forget that jae is also responsible for dan's feeling of loneliness atm due to past behaviour)

Are you fucking for real? You said it yourself, they both had a shitty childhood in different ways. Jaekyung grew up in nothing but abuse and violence and extreme poverty cause he had to steal for food and clothes out of the dumpster so that is all he ever knew until he was able to turn that violence into something productive only because he ended up practically getting raised by his coach and the granny. That is how he was able to grow his talents and become who he is now. Dan was nurtured but he and his grandma were harassed and tormented by loan sharks all their lives. What do you expect? Dan just didn't grow up to be a fighter, he never really had to do any of that because his granny worked hard to feed them both and keep a roof over their head. So what did he do? He worked hard to get an education and become a doctor so he could pay his grandma back. It was due to granny getting sick that he had to take out even more debt because he got SEXUALLY HARRASSED and fired and wouldn't get hired anywhere else. He has never once said he was a victim nor does he act like a victim. God forbid someone gets depressed because of extreme stress for not having a decent job and caring for their grandma who is their only family and on their death bed. Not everyone grows physically or emotionally strong in harsh circumstances. Are you even reading the same story or are you blind?

Well as someone who stopped stressing about getting a job because I can just force my senile and elderly mom to pay for everything for her 39yo son, Dan got the easy way out by earnings the title of a PT. Dan is a fake victim. Jaekyung is one we should all feel for.
