It doesn't really matter if he stole the gym clothes or not he was smelling them, and that's what creeped the MC out. Totally fair (not the standing by for the bullying, but fair to feel creeped out). Stalking him on social media, being depressed and obsessed, so far that's not on MC at all. Yet baiting MC into falling for him planning to hurt him as one sided revenge for self imposed depression?! Yeah I wish this made the ML unredeemable, but we know authors love shit.
