what i like abt this manga is that .....along with romance , there is workplace drama too which deals with realistic topics and the characters are not just reduced to romantic leads in a story... they have their own ideals while working and also a very stable relationship between them ....
.
most shocking part for me was that kasai was indeed a rival for onoe but the way he gradually fell for him felt real and not just a plot point or a jealousy factor...the other characters also had good characterisation and felt fitting in the story itself...
.
this is the type of office romance that is so satisfying to read ...like most of the times in this trope...the leads either start doing it in the office or are so superficially written , all of it feels so ridiculous but with this one and sekaiiechi hatsukoi .....the balance between the romance and the their work is so good and is a way , very "normal" to read !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree so much, both their relationship and their workplace seem realistic, and both are equally important in the storyline. I also liked how the "love rival" was handled - Kaburagi immediately noticed it and made it clear that he was dating Onoe. There is no drama for the sake of drama, most conflicts arise from their job or their personalities, I like how the story acknowledges that them being different is not always easy but that's what they love about each other. They truly feel like characters who could be real people.

Coming back, even after so many years, this series is still great. The main characters are just normal dudes who work for the same company. I love how their relationship is portrayed, because even after they get together they still argue and they don't act all lovely every single day - sometimes they just watch tv together or sleep in. But they always regret when they hurt each other and apologize. It feels like a realistic relationship, and bonus points for not making every single character gay. Even when they talk about moving in together the conversation feels natural.
Also, this is one of the few BLs that actually focus on the jobs of the main characters and how it affects their daily lives. They have a professional relationship as coworkers and the other members of their team are also interesting characters.
