Ngl, story has confusing parts and it's the type of story that gives you the bare amount of information and dramatic foreshadowing, but it's never enough to piece the puzzle together. If anything, it's frustrating. Also, the holy knight captain - wasn't he rejecting the princess due to his foolish loyalty to the corrupt regent? When did he change his mind and why? Did he not say he was following orders and would essentially retrieve her mother's keepsake to give to the regent?
...I keep reading to gain more information to hypothesize the plot, but instead keep being given random tidbits of info and I feel like there's not a single character I understand nor know enough about to care for them at all.
