I get feeling insecure and not wanting to publicise the relationship but the problem was his reaction? it was so violent and he lit smacked it away, he could've handled it better.

However, its moments like these where I think Jaehyuk can’t help be worried and doubt Garam’s feelings for
him, since the way they got together was so messy and was mostly from him pushing for it. He’s just frustrated with putting everything into the relationship, but feeling like Garam isn’t doing the same. Of course, this is because he doesn’t know what we know about Garam, and how Garam has been trying his best and he chickened out because of his previous trauma and Jaehyuk’s parents sudden visit.

From both their perspectives, both their reactions are fitting for the situation. It’s just that for a lot of readers, Garam’s rejection of the rings were super harsh, which of course would hurt Jaehyuk’s feelings. Not to mention, as the readers, we know how sincere Jaehyuk is with his actions, so it hurts to see his attempts at affection being rejected like this, when they should be in a loving relationship.

Of course, when you have trauma and you’re thrown off guard, you sometimes have responses you don’t expect, like Garam slapping the rings away. He was probably so overwhelmed that he couldn’t articulate what he was feeling. Also, Garam was feeling insecure because of what Jaehyuk’s parents had said. That Garam was just another notch in Jaehyuk’s belt and that Jaehyuk would get bored at some point. This made Garam insecure and made him hesitate. However, that’s when Jaehyuk showed that he was thinking about their relationship seriously and even brought out rings himself. In the new chapter, Garam even says that he wished he just gave him the rings he bought then, since now he felt like he couldn’t just accept the ones that Jaehyuk bought him since he chickened out.

It’s just frustrating for the readers since we know that if Garam admitted that to Jaehyuk and communicated, Jaehyuk would probably die from happiness because Garam’s even got him rings lol. We as readers have a lot more trust in Jaehyuk than Garam, and that’s due to our perspective and Garam’s past traumas haunting him. But because we have that insight, it’s frustrating that Garam isn’t just explaining his side of things, even when he did reject the rings.

His method of doing things is not conductive to a good and healthy relationship. Partners should communicate with each other or fights like this will happen. And again, manhwa, especially bl, readers hate miscommunication the most. This arc is literally the epitome of miscommunication, because both of them want the rings but one of them won’t explain why they rejected it, making the other misunderstand that they don’t love him so we get angry and the one who won’t communicate! i agree. I just kept seeing people commenting saying that he reacted that way because he was upset he didnt give Jaehyuk the rings first when the real issue was how insecure he is and lashed out. But yes both of their reactions rn are valid.
