MC is not a saint but I feel like his actions are realistically frustrating, like even if they aren’t the best course of action it’s not ridiculous or an uncommon reaction to avoid the whole situation rather than communicate. Yea he shouldn’t have fed into ML, but like you said he does love him and he was frustratingly too deep in the relationship built mainly off of guilt. The whole high school situation is messed up but then again, who wouldn’t be scared (as a probably at the time “straight” male) seeing who u thought was ur friend being gay n shit towards ur shirt sniffing it. It’s messed up obviously but I’m saying his reaction isn’t very uncommon or ridiculous. Being a bystander to bullying is just as bad as being the bully ofc, but I’m just saying the MC isn’t necessarily a horrible person and I feel like he’s WAY better than the ML (even if ML was the victim) you feel me? Rape never can be excused even tho it’s highly romanticized in these manhwas.. MC is definitely not perfect tho and I think that is what makes it better, he’s more realistic. That’s just my thoughts tho I see where you’re coming from
i enjoy reading toxic relationships like these but i feel like im the only one who remembers that mc was really shitty to ml in high school. not that he deserved anything that happened later on but like ml didnt deserve what happened to him either. they both kinda suck and the mc's been coping real hard by telling himself lies about having not bullied ml and all that crap back from chapters 7 amd 8. no shit ml is fucked in the head, he was brutally and cruelly bullied in his formative years and still felt like *he* had to be the one to apologize. anyway i love these two and cant wait for them to get together.
