The fact evangline is trying to woe his brother is proof that those thing could happen. Even that guy that was suposed to be the "ml" said Evangeline was her cousin and she married him. Its not uncommon in those day to marry someone you are related to to keep the "Noble blood." Or maybe its just bad translation ╮(￣▽￣)╭
