I had commented the first few chapters about his trauma. Wondering why type of trauma would cause him to find comfort in self-harm. I thought it was going to be like domestic violence with an ex. This... is another level of psychological trauma. Poor soul, and the cop being the abuser just highlights how he has ZERO protection.
