it makes Dajun look like a worse character with how little interest he had in his brother who was CLEARLY suffering. You're basically saying that it's a good thing the author made Dajun look like a bad brother because now they get to keep milking the audience for content

Im saying that this is one part of Dajuns story, it starts with him and ML and ends with him and ML thats it. Sub plot is the introduction of the brother, thats it, an introduction of a new character with a darker back story.
The author raps up the main story because thats all that needs to be said for it, they introduced a more complex character who has a strong presence and potential for their own story. It would not do this character any justice if the author were to explore their arc in this completed one. Idk if they have plans to actually continue with the brothers story but they have it set up perfectly for more than just side stories so heres hoping.
And milking the audience for content? You mean making a continuation to a story people like? When was that ever a bad thing? Obviously if you’re not into it, leave.
