Hmm this might be true but why moralize? This is literally a fan service gooner chapter lol. Just enjoy the meal, we know su-ah is a weirdo he is not well socialized thats why he constantly says things that people think in their head out loud. What? Bro has no friends, from what we see not that obsessed with pottery, as the title says, juhyeok is his world, of course he is not normal this shit is suppressed for years lol.
I'm taking it seriously because I can just enjoy toxic stories, but the reason I love the first season of flower of aloshya even though it sway worse than this is because everyone agrees that it's fucking trash. On this one you have people genuinely defending suah and that's where it turns political and weird to me. I understand why suah does what he does, I just don't agree with his refusal to take responsibility and the way that comes with selfishness.
I think the problem is people frame this as if Jiyeok is only physically dependent on Su-ah, when the story shows he’s emotionally dependent too. Jiyeok likes to pretend the arrangement is purely mechanical because that’s easier for him to accept, but it clearly isn’t. He relies on Su-ah running to him whenever he calls, on the affection, on the fact that Su-ah is always emotionally available and obviously in love with him. Like you are buying into jiyeoks coping instead of looking at the story outside his brain. The crash out a couple of chapters earlier was not about responsibility or are any bs, they could have tried another day if it was about the cum, it was about Su-ah crying and not being aroused in spite the fact that jiyeok was touching him and sucking him for the first ever, this Bursts his bubble of Su-ah being default emotional, self esteem booster. Of being attractive ect
If Su-ah actually behaved the way Jiyeok claims he wants cold, distant, purely transactional, showing up only for the “arrangement” and leaving immediately after Jiyeok would not be able to handle that either. Even things like Su-ah not being instantly aroused by him anymore or treating it like a routine obligation would probably upset him a lot.
So the situation is messy on both sides. Su-ah’s emotional dependence isn’t hidden he’s completely open about it. The one who pretends there’s no emotional dependency is Jiyeok, even though the story repeatedly shows he relies on Su-ah’s affection and presence just as much as the physical side of the arrangement.
wow boiii i came from the comment i posted that u replied to and lowk we have the exact same views abt this manhwa
dead freaking butt i dont understand how people cant realize that this is a horror story (if you take away all the sparkless and blushing). having your autonomy taken away from you and the processes of your body be dictated by someone else is something terrifying. whats worse is that its a very real experience.
like guys rape is rape and this is a clear example of this exploitative sexual (and lowk msyognistic) violence. the way people find a method to both romantacize this situation and infantalize su-ah baffles me.
maybe i recognize the fact that su-ah is abusive and holds the power in their dynamic cuz im a super freaking awesome woke intelligent mexican but idk (prob just cuz i have basic human decency)
The way juhyeok is heading is the same way my mum almost ended up I genuinely get like half baffled half angry when people defend suah and fail to notice the very misogynistic undertones like boiiii suah is not a yearner he's a selfish borderline narcissistic man child who can't see the pure evil in his actions
That just isn't my point though- juhyeok being emotionally dependent and disappointed that suah wasn't attracted to him doesn't take away the fact that suah didn't take responsibility and his career could've been ruined. Idk from my POV a career is far more important than a relationship especially if it's one with such a small window of opportunity like athletics. This might just be an agree to disagree thing but in my opinion, succeeding career wise would far out weight emotional dependence on a man and I feel like juhyeok is mature enough to be more worried about his tournament than some guy finding him ugly idk it's a slippery slope

I was gonna say just when suah did something mildly ordinary but thinking back on it, first he coerced a kiss out of him- THREATENED it out of him, then didn't let him go even when he signalled to be let go. Then he lwk LOWKEEEYYYYYY DON'T BOTHER ME ABOUT MY WORD CHOICE pressured suah (who now has to scrape and bow to him so he isn't raped and he can continue pursuing his passion as an athlete) to have a shower with him and just when he could've chosen to be normal, instead he decides to take advantage of suah because what do you do when someone gives you an inch of trust? You betray it by a mile yes that's right. "Euuu juhyeok was expecting seexxxx......!" Yeah so why could suah not have asked like a normal person instead of letting shampoo in his eyes then groping him while he couldn't see because the water was off or something. Think about this rationally if you've already forced someone into sex with you by threatening them with their ability to live as a human being, DO YOU REALLY NEED TO FURTHER BE WEIRD??? JUST HAVE NORMAL SEX UGH THAT'S LIKE FORCING SOMEONE TO BE A SEX WORKER FOR YOU THEN CHOOOOSSSINGGG TO FIND NEW UNIQUE WAYS TO DOUBLE RAPE THEM. Institutionalise them all NEOW!
Suah just is not a normal person and everytime someone defends him AS I'VE SAAAIIIIDDDD it's a repackaged "what was she wearing" that's deadass what all the arguments against juhyeok are. "Oh but juhyeok was mean! Juhyeok promised him marriage! Juhyeok did this and that and this!" Number one he still doesn't hold the power in this position, number two when I was 11 I told my roblox girlfriend we'd like live together so am I now legally bound to live with her? Should I tolerate it if she buys out all the homes in my area and my only options are homeless or her? Like y'all are so desensitized to this shit that you don't realise once you replace "Omega" with "woman" and "alpha" with "man" not only does it start to sound like the real world with traditional values and expectations, it also starts to sound like the real world in that people are always DESPERATTEEEE to defend a man and I stand on this rock with a passion.
Yes I do come on here to hate on suah whenever I read a chapter I am unemployed the day I stop posting on here is the day I either get tired of ts and drop it or the day I lock in, swashbuckler out
