My country was the first orthodox country to legalize gay marriage and people are still openly homophobic and transphobic.... People will always be stupid but I'm hoping your law makers do something useful soon
I highly doubt that they have legalized sexual intercourse but don't recognise same sex marriage. The foundation that were fighting for it already appealed for it twice but decisions were not in their favour. Not to mention for live in relations you have to notify and get permission first and people are homophobic. There are so many constructs in my country that forget about lgbt even straights who belong to different religion or caste are not seen favourably.
I didn't know Thailand was open minded towards lgbtq sigh I am looking at my law makers who are still playing ping pong with its legalization.
