The slave thing probably just a "brand" since they're closer to pet concept with different food diet and tendency to pick younger ones. It's like how you see people treat their pet like human child, for example bringing them in baby stroller, it's not frowned upon but still look unusual for some people.
yeah i think the “pet” label would’ve been better, but the fact that they’re expected to be servants/commodities to show off, hitting/punishing/killing them is the norm, and look absolutely miserable when on their leash does not help the imagery at all

the two of them are cute but omg i really hope this actually does something with the slave concept because it is SO uncomfortable. imo the mcs are fine not fighting against it for now bc tanya is very young and william has been raised his entire life as a slave but i hope it takes a stronger stance against slavery.
