Second half of chapter 25. He has a nightmare of his childhood that shows him as a boy and the prince is having his hand cut off and his father (who they call the apothecary) arrested. And then there is a brief scene where people are talking about how did dad killed himself while in prison. Scholar nim wakes up from the dream and runs to the giant snake in the forest. Recent chapter explains why the prince went after the apothecary. No idea how he got his hand back tho if this is a correct interpretation?? Snake magic?

Reread for the hundreth time and just realized now with this update that doram's tutor scholar im was the son of the apothecary which is why he hates the prince so much
