the point is they are being hopeful, since he has consciousness, but they don't actually know if he can.
A thing also that is not being discussed is where are the player characters from, we only discussed Bada's background and the fact that he doesn't remember who he was before (because turns out he's an NPC) but actually, even from the people who are supposed to have a background we don't know theirs or why they came into this game either! Probably this is not a plothole but something that will be revealed later.

i know bada is an npc.............which lowkey doesn't make sense to me bc everyone is acting like he can leave the game, including bada himself, which if he's an npc he obviously shouldn't be able to........
