the side characters piss me off

like ok MC is emotionless and wants to die and has nothing to live for

the side characters trying to force their own humanity and justice onto MC is so fucking annoying

like ok we know one of them is using MC and giving him humanity for humanity's survival which she knows is selfish

but the one resembling MC's mother speaking on stuff she has no idea on is giving white savior vibes holy fuck

like i get that this is supposed to be hopeful and uplifting, but all i see is a poorly executed version of it where one kid is being coerced into becoming a hero.

I'm dropping it so idk, but I'm heavily suspecting them to either figure out how to kill MC but keep it from him or actively just stop research.

If MC truly finds his "humanity" and desires to live, then this is backhanded messaging af
