nah, i don’t think that’s the case because of how repressed odajima was. there’s no way he could’ve actively been in another relationship before yano, he said that because through first into second year his feelings for yano & yano’s efforts in understanding him were like. his saving grace against his deteriorating mental state so them breaking up eventually would end up destroying him ^^;; pretty sure that the friend goes to his old school, which is affiliated with his family. he did disappear all of a sudden after elementary school
Nah I don't think so, because odajima went to a different middle school that is not affiliated with his family after that incident so it's most likely just a elementary best friend
