The thing I hate about these loan shark tropes is that once the seme fixes the problem and buys the uke new clothes it’s always high end expensive clothes and accessories like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and other obvious brands, like it’s really noticeable when the rumors of the uke being dirt poor to now wearing a 1000 dollar shirt to everyone else.. is there no good quality middle ground?? The uke also never knows how expensive the clothes he’s wearing so why not like a nice 80 dollar shirt???
