While I do like most of the story’s aspects, the flaws do make it hard to enjoy. Comedic situations and unexpected outcomes? Totally up my alley. But some of the plot points they do just for progression really throw me off. Spoilers if you haven’t read this yet!
Like how dumb her sister is. I get that based on her role as the original captive FL, she doesn’t need to be smart, but the problem is that she can’t do anything without MC, so does the original plot even matter anymore? Is her sister ever going to get kidnapped? Probably not, seeing how the prince completely forgot her existence.
The title and beginning feels like a white lie. She was originally content with living a lazy prisoner life, but since it doesn’t have everything she wants, she has to put in effort to make those things. Comics/manhwas, blackout curtains and tumblers, all these things led to businesses and responsibilities.
(Blackout curtains aside, did she really need to specifically request manhwas instead of just novels? I think the “original plot” went out the window the moment she started creating things for her own satisfaction and comfort. Also, why are tumblers the only merch ideas that she had??)
Instead of just being a captive of a duke, she’s in a chokehold for running her hobbies. It’s funny but sad to see that she was originally content to live a leisurely life after working so hard, but after getting back into the groove of it, ML has to beg her to relax in her room instead of asking her to go out.
The plot progression: When the prince suddenly drops by, they wanted to prevent him from meeting MC. I know that they couldn’t avoid it forever because of his purpose, but in this instance I’m all for shooting the messenger. Why not ask the servant to pass the message instead of summoning the maid to directly threaten her about the consequences, or ask the servant to watch over MC? Because she was following orders, she lost MC and still had to get punished for it?? I will not talk about the door incident since it’s already been pointed out haha
Also that one person who said the organization sucked. I have to agree, especially since this is where they decided to end the season??
