I got carried away rhinking abt the actual logistics of the 'Make Japan Happy project' and now I have abunch of questions like:
1. Can you completely opt out of the project, as in, not allow your data/personal info enter the system, because while you don't HAVE TO marry that person you're matched with, its highly recommended, and you're still matched with someone, and how do aroace people who have NO romantic interests fit into it
2. How many cases of unwanted pursuit, like stalking or pushiness have there been, regarding one-sided feelings?
3. The impact it has on pre-existing couples and their relationships with another (as mentioned in the story)
4. Do they match regardless of sexual identity, and if so, how would that work for people who are still discovering/experimenting with their identities?
5. Are divorce rates lower because matched couples have fallen in love with each other, or because they get along well enough that they dont feel the need to divorce?
6. Why arranged/matched couples? How is that related to general happiness?
7. This may feel a little rich, coming from someone who reads a LOT of romance, but doesnt the emphasis on romantic relationships that society likes to uphold get kinda annoying? How would people, like myself, who feel content about not being in relationships, feel about the project being called 'Make Japan Happy' (insinuating that romantic relationships is what brings the most happiness) (i would personally hate it bcs of that but also bcs i hate being told what to do by the government)
8. How would this shape Japanese societal expectations on relationships, especially when single women already face enough stigma about being unmarried?
9. What about those who choose to not marry their matched pair? How they be treated?
10. Am I totally overthinking this for some stupid oneshot bl that kinda reminds me of those old gacha videos i used to watch when i was a kid? Yes, and I should js calm down bcs the mangaka probably didnt think this far into it cus its js a oneshot and i overthink too much.
