Exercise* ghosts not excel lol
im pretty sure its exorcise, not exercise
they don't know that she's helping him and since they're exorcists they probably think that there are no good ghosts and that she's using and manipulating him. it's like religious people irl. they believe what they want and don't listen to anyone else even if their child is suffering.
a deal with a ghost is probably against everything they believe in and fight against every day. and being tied to a ghost isn't a permanent solution since she is dead and he can't always rely on her.
i'm curious to see how his brother will be like tho and how their story will end.

Ok I can definitely see the religious aspect of it, however specifically because she’s a ghost/already dead it would make sense that he could rely on her indefinitely I mean where would she go what can she do to leave him? Die? Lmfao so I think she’s a perfect solution to his problem and would they rather him be harassed but multiple ghosts a day for the rest of his life or make a contract with a single ghost to protect him and allow him to live somewhat normally, it just seems like the simplest and best solution to me. I mean who actually know how they’ll react when they figure out all the details but I hope it’s not so shallow a reason as what I think it is that causes them to remove the only thing that’s given him a semblance of normalcy (if u can call it that lol)
yeah, we'll see how it goes but i feel like they will be like "you can't rely on a ghost indefinitely and she has to find peace and not stay in the world of the living + you need to settle down and you can't do that while being tied to a ghost" but who knows. maybe they'll surprise us by being accepting lol
Tbh I don’t get what the issue is, like even if she is a ghost his whole arrangement with her is that she keeps the other ghosts that typically harass him away, so his quality of life has increased in general and he’s gotten better sleep since she’s been around essentially protecting him, so why would that arrangement not be a good thing in his family’s eyes? It seems like a strange plot hole to me like he can’t excel use ghosts but can only see them and is subsequently harassed if he makes a deal/partnership with a single ghost to avoid harassment that seems like the best way to deal with this issue, why would his family disagree and try to exercise the ghost that’s helping him? It doesn’t really add up like do they want him to suffer just cuz they don’t trust ghosts? Weird
