Yeah a lot of her actions were 100% influenced by the SA she faced and the fact that she was just supposed to go on like it didn’t happen. I think she did try for some time but the kids looked so much like her abuser. Never an excuse for what she did to them, but I’m glad she realized her ways very quickly and the danger she put her daughter in and at least gave her some sort of freedom, especially now allowing her to cut ties and setting her up with a house and enough money which is the least she could do. The real villain is the father and the author for not giving them a single adult to be a healthy figure in their lives
I agree with everything u said except for the last part because the real villain was both the mother and father unfortunately :( The father is undeniably a demon from the fiery underworld but the mother as also an abusive parent and caused trauma. She her self was abused but she was also an abuser for the twins...both can be true at the same time

In a way I feel bad for the mom. It seems like she was likely forced to marry the twins dad, was likely SA-ed and forced to raise them (probably had HORRIBLE postpartum). None of this excuses her treatment of them, but it does explain why she did what she did. I am glad both sides get a clean break from eachother, I hope the twins truly flourish as time goes on
