the marquis, basically mc's current husband, I find him iffy, even like. idk the way he immeitenly try to hit mc when she had a serious convo with him about ati. deadass, im kinda disappointed on mc not slapping him back for trying to slap her. NO CUZ IF MC WASN'T STRONG OR ANOTHER PERSON MARRIED HIM IN THOSE TIME PERIOD SHE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN ABUSED AND CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BACK OR FIGHT BACK MUCH CUZ no nobles train their daughters to fight or defend themselves. (maybe those in frontlines but that's a maybe).
he is abusive, form his first reaction to how ati future is going to be and current knowalge he is emotionally abusive as well, as in not being there for her and never caring for her physically. we all know money can't give you a healthy childhood with love. while money is immportant, without any love it wouldn't matter in the end. Villainess in the game turn out that way is cuz he enable her to turn out like that.
so no, I don't like the ml, mc is queen and deserve better. and I didn't even recognize him without the beard. him cutting the beard do be signaling him joining the ring and maybe changing but I still hate him for how he, basically in go story, let it go on until she DIEd, his daughter live to whatever age that seems like 20. so basically he stuck himself in self pity and dislike of wanting to face the death of his first wife for like 15+ years. He let their daughter end up like that. while its not solo on the father but he basically let it all happen, all can be avoided if he had pay any attention or gave any care to his kid.
