Right?? Whats even weirder is writing about said love he felt for the person who was a child at the time? Like genuinely theres only ever been two ways I saw age gaps working out. One situation where even though the person knew the love interest when the LI was a child they felt nothing but platonic care for the LI and it only progressed to romantic after time spent away from each other with zero contact only to see each other by chance, where the LI had to work very hard to make the person fall for them. And the other situation is just the usual, they meet when the LI or the person are of legal age (at least over the age of 19). Like if it were either of these cases I wouldve been able to handle reading this but it being full on pedophilia with absolutely no discussion about the moral wrongs of it all is just inexcusable.
I’ve read the artists other works and I felt they have a really good grasp on making great stories, but age gap is very difficult to do, and making the characters meet while one is a child is like making yourself step on a mine. Could be great, but man is it fucking weird that your dating someone you knew as a child while you were a grown ass adult with a whole ass house.
